Cowboys host Panthers

Fifty times McNeese State and Prairie View A&M have met on the baseball field with the Cowboys winning 49 times.
Tonight the two match up for the 51st time.
“Just want to keep things going,” McNeese head coach Justin Hill said. “Want to be consistent.”
The Cowboys (15-13) have won four of their last five, including taking two of three at Nicholls State last weekend. The Panthers (13-15) are coming off a four-game sweep of Arkansas-Pine Bluff last weekend.
Benjamin Ybarra leads the Panthers with a .360 batting average, and 32 hits. Tre Turner is hitting .338 with two homers and 20 runs batted in.
Brad Burckel (.364), Payton Harden (.348) and Braden Duhon (.329) lead the Cowboys in hitting. Kade Hunter is hitting .359 in 63 at-bats. Burckel leads the club with four home runs with an OPS of 1.014. Burckel and Peyton Johnson have driven in a team-high 19 runs.
