Gerald “Shotgun” Lynn Miller

Gerald Lynn “Shotgun” Miller, born in Lake Charles on Aug. 29, 1956, son of Arcade and Nell Jean Lognion Miller, passed away March 28, 2025, at the age of 68.
Shotgun, as he was affectionally known, was a graduate of Bell City High School. He worked for many years with Whitaker & Webb as a surveyor, and later for his sister and brother-in-law at McKenzie Pest Control. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed showing his extensive collection to his nephews and great-nephews. He loved military history and watching NASCAR. Shotgun also enjoyed listening to the Eagles extra loud and supporting his President, Donald Trump.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arcade Miller Jr.
Survivors are his daughter, Ashley Dewees and husband, Brett; mother, Nell Jean Miller; siblings, Kim Dubrock and husband, Keith, and Michael “Mike” Miller and wife, Fran, and two grandchildren, Georgia and Micah Dewees.
