Charles “Buddy” Ray Humphery, 70, of Toledo Bend, La., passed away April 13, 2024.  He was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Lake Charles to Clifford and Inez Humphery. He was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff, La. before retiring at the Lake.

He loved to cook, dance, hunt, fish and shoot pool.  Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie; brother, John “Butch” Humphery; daughter-in-law, Amber Humphery; and bonus children, Jeffrey Harper (Bridget) and Dana Hebert (Kyle).  He was lovingly known as “Pops” to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Dalton Humphery; and his beloved son, Benjamin Humphery. At Buddy’s request, his body was donated to Louisiana State University School of Medicine for the advancement of science.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration service honoring Buddy’s life will be held at 1 p.m.Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Toledo Senior Center (29275 Hwy 191, Many, LA).
