Martha Lee Cole Kellogg

On Jan. 10, 2023, Martha Lee Cole Kellogg affectionately nicknamed “Wiggie” peacefully left this life for her eternal one to be with her Savior. Martha began life’s journey in DeQuincy, La., on Oct. 25, 1936. While in high school, she was a cheerleader, homecoming queen, voted most beautiful and Miss DeQuincy High School. She married the love of her life, Kenneth John Kellogg and together they had four children, Rebecca, Johnny, Kimberly, and Greg Kellogg. Martha was known as the neighborhood nurse, marriage counselor and most importantly a mighty prayer warrior. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. One of her accomplishments was being Director of Park Place of DeQuincy where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth John Kellogg; her parents, Verbia and Marslee Cole; brothers Milton and Jerry; and sister, Mary Nell Cole Rion.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Rebecca Lee Kellogg, Kenneth John Kellogg Jr. (Caren), Kimberly Gail Kellogg Sullivan (Randy) and Gregory Cole Kellogg (Tammy); her grandchildren, Tiffani, Kaitlyn, Kenneth, Garrett, Caleb, Lindsey, Macy, and Sarah; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home of DeQuincy with a memorial homegoing service beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023. Officiant will be the Rev. Wayne Neyland. Pallbearers will be Kenneth J. Kellogg III, Garrett Sullivan, Caleb Kellogg, Nicholas Thibodeaux, Coby Carlin, Andrew Carlin, and Benjamin Carlin. Interment will be at Perkins Cemetery immediately following the service.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, La.
