Our family grieves with the loss of a most precious soul, Beverly Moss Scholtens, whose heart was full of love for her family and friends, church, and most especially, Jesus. She is now walking on the streets of gold. Beverly was born on Nov. 23, 1938 and sent to Heaven on Monday, May 26, 2024. She lived in Sulphur and was raised in Westlake. She attended Westlake High and graduated in 1953. Beverly had a wonderful marriage to John Scholtens for 37 years. She was a dedicated member of the Olivet Baptist Church and gave much of her time to missionary work. Beverly was quite the entrepreneur and her work ethics and drive for excellence was inspirational. She truly treated everyone like they were a long lost friend. She was very much loved and will be dearly missed. Thank you for doing so much for so many.

She had three children, Mark, Manny, Linda, all from Sulphur. She was born to Robert and Mable Moss of Westlake. Of her 10 siblings, she is survived by Marvin Moss, Gary Moss, Jill Hines, Melissa Mistrzak, Thomas Moss, Bob Moss, and Don Moss, and in the hereafter she will be joining Barbara Alexander, C.L. Moss, and Jean Tennison; her grandchildren are Amy Borel, Amanda Ervin, and Megan Myers. Her step-children are John Scholtens and wife, Marge, Breck Scholtens and wife, Connie, Kurt Scholtens and wife, Hillary, Zelleigh Sanders and husband, Dennis, and Rebecca Fried and husband, Randy; She had five great-grandkids, three great-great-grandkids, along with too many nieces and nephews to count.

She was affectionately known as “Grandma B” to all of the Scholtens family.
