Brenda Long Judice

Brenda Long Judice, 73, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 in Lake Charles, La. surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 24, 1951 in New Orleans, La. She spent her childhood years in Opelousas, La. and moved with her family to Lake Charles in 1964.
She attended LaGrange High School and McNeese State University, where she met her future husband Jack Judice. Brenda spent her career as an educator in both Louisiana and Arkansas. She was also passionate about the elderly ministry at Trinity Baptist Church and opened her home to various church ministry opportunities. She loved her family dearly and could never get enough of her grandchildren. Brenda was known for her smiling face, dedication to her profession, and her caring, positive attitude.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Judice; sons, Adam Judice and Kyle Judice (Stephanie); and grandchildren Tyler Judice, Emily Judice, and Blake Judice. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Margaret Long Hagge, Meryl Long Babcock (Ron); sister-in-laws, Anne Judice Trapp (Fred), Aimee Judice Monk (Bill); along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents James E. and Benena Long , in laws John and Margaret Judice and her sister-in-law Mary Judice Finney (Tom).
The family would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to her cardiology team, Dr. Richard Gilmore, Ralph Hays and Dr. Jake LeBeau, who worked tirelessly over the years to improve her quality of life.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 1800 Country Club Rd. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Steve James and Dr. David Rose. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church.
