Mark Wayne Peet Sr.

Mark Wayne Peet Sr., 69, of Lacassine, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and children. Mark was born Nov. 9, 1954, in Lake Charles, La. to Emerson and Evelyn Peet and was a lifelong resident of the Southwest Louisiana area. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and later worked for Calgon Carbon Corporation as a Senior Technical Sales Representative.
Mark was one of the kindest, most joyful people you could ever meet. His favorite place was Toledo Bend, but he was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved, no matter the location. Mark enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and watching the birds from his back porch. He never met a stranger and could make anyone feel welcome. Mark was the best husband, father, Paw Paw, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. His unwavering love for his family and his steadfast faith in the Lord defined his life and will leave an unforgettable impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, DeAnn Peet. Cherishing his memory are his children, Staci Boudreaux (Howard), Mark “Marcus” Peet Jr., Lauren Jackson (Justin), Matthew Peet (Briana), and Libby Bush (Micheal). Mark will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Evan Jackson, Easton Jackson, Madilyn Boudreaux, Logan Boudreaux, Adalynn Peet, and Emerson Peet. He is also survived by his brothers, Norman Peet (Bertha), and Daniel Peet (Georgia); sisters, Amy Reynolds and JoAnn Simon (Robert), as well as, sisters-in-law, Donna Peet, Ruby Peet and Ilsa Peet.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Evelyn Blanchette Peet; brothers, Emerson “Buck” Peet Jr., Allan Peet, and Keith Peet; sister, Eula George, and brothers-in-law, Jack Reynolds and Bob George.
