Ronald Dale Spell

Ronald Dale Spell ,73, passed away peacefully at his home in Moss Bluff, La. surrounded by his family. He was born in Jennings, La. to parents Horace and Betty Spell.
Ronald graduated from Jennings High School and earned a vocational degree in machine shop. Ronald worked as a millwright at Lyondell-Basell and retired in 2009. He loved woodworking and building with his hands. Ronald served as a Marine Private E-1 and was 0351 AntiTKas1tMan. He was proud to have served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He received National defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one ribbon for combat action, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Rifle Marksman Badge, and Good Conduct Medal Period Commences on June 3, 1969. Ronald was an honorable and loving husband and father, he always loved spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years, Janet Leger Spell; children, Tammy Spell Barlow (Roger), Jeremy Spell (Jennifer), Brandon Spell, Dustin Spell (Morgan); grandchildren, Brayden Spell, Haleigh Spell, Wyatt Spell, Ada Spell, Maeve Spell, Jacelyn Bellow, Seth Barlow, Jake Barlow, and Tye Barlow; siblings, Stevie W. Spell (Jan), Micheal K. Spell (Carol), Roy Spell (Tammy), Melissa Spell.
Those to welcome him into heaven are parents Horace and Betty Spell; siblings, Rudy Spell, Micheal W. Spell and Ricky Spell.
Ronalds’s service will be at 12 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Saturday May 4, 2024. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
