Ronald LaVergne, 61, died peacefully with his family by his side on April 22, 2024.  He was born on Dec. 31, 1962 to John Oren LaVergne Sr. and Julia Wilma LaVergne in Lafayette, La.

He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church.  Ronald accepted God at a young age and was a dedicated Catholic.  He graduated from Washington High School in 1981.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Pamela Semien LaVergne; his only son, Marcus Semien; his devoted mother, Julia Wilma Simpson; granddaughters, Ariyah Semien and Graylynn Guillory; his brother, John (Demita) O. LaVergne Jr.; his sister, Laura Denise Belle; four nephews, Chris Edmund (Chad), Jordan LaVergne, John Aaron LaVergne and Sidney Dozier; one niece, Kendall Belle, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Stevens’ Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday at 1 p.m.
