Lester Gordon Goss, age 88, of Westlake, La. passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Lester was born in Westlake, La. to Elijah Goss and Maloria E. Busby Goss.

Lester proudly served in the United States Naval Reserves for eight years. He was a member of the American Legion for 59 years, the Masonic Lodge for 39 years, the Rotary Club for 50 years, President Fire Board District 3 for 52 years, a Shriner for 37 years, Chamber member for 31 years, LMTA for 25 years, and the LCIA for 20 years. 

Lester was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Linda Howard Goss. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marlene Goss of Westlake; son, David Goss (Tonya) of Gillis, La.; son, Damon Goss (Stacy) of Westlake, La.; and grandchildren, Eli, Evan, Hunter, and Jessie. 

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at J.E. Hixson and Sons Funeral Home with a Masonic Service beginning at 5 p.m. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. until time of service. 

Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in the Chapel of Peace at J.E. Hixson and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Hamilton will officiate.
