Laura Eagle Kaough, our loving wife, mom, Nee Nee and Sugar Nonny, departed this world on April 10 at the age of 77 after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease.
A graduate of Lake Charles High School, Laura worked in the family business at T. Miller and Sons and was a long-time employee of Calcasieu Marine National Bank. After her retirement, she was a Volunteer Auxiliary “Pink Lady” at Memorial Hospital.
She was married to Gil Kaough for 45 years and is survived by two children, Chad and Jody Ogea; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Emily, Maddy, Ramie, Drew, Hannah, “Laura” Grace, Maggie and Charlie; and her great-grandkids, Lizzie, Winnie and Victoria.
Laura was an artist, chef, and master gardener having served as president of the Lake Charles Garden Club. Most importantly, she was a Christian, wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and a loving friend to all those who knew her.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Details will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, please make a generous donation in her name to The Michel J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons research.
