Police were called to the scene after receiving a 911 call regarding a man being shot at 520 East Jackson St.

During the investigation, officers learned an altercation allegedly took place between the victim and Bush.

Bush is accused of pulling a gun out and firing three rounds at the victim, striking him once in the left flank area before fleeing the scene, Doyle said.

The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to the Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria where he remains in critical, but stable condition.

Bush remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, Doyle said.
