LC man convicted of raping 6-year-old girl

A 26-year-old Lake Charles man was found guilty Tuesday of first-degree rape.

Calin T. Dupuis, 28, was accused of raping a 6-year-old girl and threatening to harm her if she told anyone.

He is being held without bond pending sentencing May 20 before 14th Judicial District Judge Clayton Davis.

This conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life without parole.
