BREAKING: Deputy shoots driver who attempted to drive off with him in the vehicle

A Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy is accused of shooting a driver as he attempted to drive away from a traffic stop with the deputy in the vehicle.
It is reported that the deputy was in the vehicle after finding illegal drugs.
The shooting has caused all lanes of Interstate 10 eastbound near the Cameron-Creole exit to be closed.
