Christmas at City Hall comes back to Westlake

The city of Westlake will host its second annual Christmas at City Hall on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include an array of fun activities for the entire family, including snow at 3 p.m.

Mayor Hal McMillin said he’s excited to see the number of black pot cook off competitors is up to 15. Enjoy hot chocolate, holiday market vendors, visits with Santa Claus and more.

This festival brings together members from the Westlake community and beyond to celebrate the holiday season.

“Westlake is working to improve the quality of life in Southwest Louisiana, and we invite you all to join us. With the help of LyondellBasell, we will continue to build on this celebration every year,” McMillin said.

Armando Lara, site manager for Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene Joint Venture Site LyondellBasell said the group has pledged $75,000 to the city to an annual holiday celebration that brings families, friends, and community members  together.

“LYB looks forward to being a part of this holiday celebration,” Lara said.
