Wet Thanksgiving could be in the cards for SW La.
The outlook for the Thanksgiving holiday travel period shows a “rather unsettled pattern” as a series of fronts bring a chance for showers. The first one if forecast for Tuesday followed by a secondary front on Thanksgiving.
Current forecasts suggest low rain chances will develop early in the week then increase toward the latter part of the week as a front moves into the region, according to the National Weather Service’s Lake Charles office.
Dry weather is expected to return by the weekend following the holiday.
There is the potential for above-normal temperatures starting Wednesday then trending below-normal starting Nov. 29 into the first week of December.
