Lake Charles Police investigating porch thefts

News Release

Lake Charles Police are investigating complaints of package thefts from people’s porches. Between July 20th and July 23rd, Lake Charles Police received two complaints of packages being stolen from victim’s porches. The packages were delivered to the residence by a delivery company and left on the victim’s porches. The suspects would then walk or ride by and see that packages were at the front door. The suspect would then walk on the victim’s property and porch and remove the packages.

The attached photograph and video is from a July 23rd incident and is from home security systems. The systems captures the suspect getting out of a small grey or green car then walking to a residence and taking a package from a victim’s porch.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or the vehicle is asked to contact the Lake Charles Police Department.
