An American Press reader called the office a couple of days ago and asked that the paper print the contact information for area lawmakers, saying that people always say to contact one’s representatives but that few know how to do so.

The email addresses and phone numbers for area state House members:

Frank Howard — howardf@legis. la.gov; 318-256-4135. Howard represents District 24, which comprises most of Vernon and Sabine parishes and part of Natchitoches Parish.

James Armes — armesj@legis.la.gov; 337-238-7004. Armes represents District 30, which comprises north-central Beauregard Parish and part of central Vernon Parish.

Dorothy Sue Hill — hilld@legis.la.gov; 800-259-2118. Hill represents District 32, which comprises Allen Parish, most of Beauregard Parish and the northernmost sliver of Calcasieu.
