Sex Offender Arrest

News Release

On Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., Lake Charles Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to a local casino for a report of a black male exposing himself.

Officer Jared Hebert arrived and was met by casino security who advised that Lionel Coleman, 60 years of age, had removed his penis from his pants and exposed himself in a graphic manner to a waitress and a restaurant manager.

Officer Hebert conducted a warrant check and learned that Lionel Coleman was a registered sex offender in Texas.  

Detective Nicosia, Lake Charles Police Department sex offender unit, was contacted and found that Lionel Coleman has been arrested several times for obscenity in Texas and Louisiana.

Officer Hebert placed Lionel Coleman under arreste and he was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Officer Hebert completed an arrest warrant that was presented to Judge Robert Wyatt who reviewed the warrant and placed a bond of $25,000.00 on the warrant.
