Hardworking, successful men who know they will never get a second chance to make a great first impression seldom have the time or inclination to shop – especially during the holidays. That’s why they trust Connie’s Menswear for their professional, special occasion and casual wardrobe needs season after season.

Connie’s Menswear is a by-appointment-only menswear business that offers custom-tailored and off-the-rack suits, sport coats, dress shirts and slacks, as well as carefully selected top-performing brands of casual clothing and accessories. She has even added a few fun accessories for the holidays.

“I call it shopping made simple,” said Connie Seal, “and with Christmas right around the corner, one-stop shopping can be a real time saver. No fighting the crowd. Women won’t have to drag their guys to the store, only to be disappointed when they don’t find what works. Gift-wrapping is free, and attention to service is highly individualized.”

Paul Stark, New York Life, has been relying on Connie’s Menswear to keep his wardrobe up to date for the last 20 years.

Connie and customers arrange an appointment time. Some men know exactly what they want. Others solicit Connie’s suggestions on styles, colors and fabrics. She offers plenty to choose from.

“By the second or third appointment, shopping gets even simpler,” Connie said.

New York Life Financial advisor Paul Stark has depended on Connie’s expert service for over 20 years.

“I’ve had people in Dallas ask where I get my suits,” said Stark. “People want to do business with people who understand their business from top to bottom. Connie knows her business. She keeps my wardrobe updated.”

Local attorney Russell “Rusty” Stutes Jr. is another long-time  Connie’s Menswear customer.

“She knows my taste and has a good eye for color,” Stutes said. “One of the many things I like about working with Connie is that if she shows me something and it’s not my thing, I don’t mind telling her. And she doesn’t mind hearing it. Eight out of the 10 things she shows me I like.”

Laura Henry wanted her husband, Jeff, to use Connie’s Menswear, but she was not optimistic. His schedule was always full, and she knew he didn’t relish the idea of clothes shopping.

Russell Stutes said Connie Seal has a good eye for color and style. She is easy to work with and the by-appointment meetings are perfect for his schedule.

“Connie made his crazy schedule work and she made it so much fun,” Laura Henry said. “She’s knowledgeable about styling details, and she is intuitive. It didn’t take all afternoon like I thought. Now it takes no time. Connie has his measurements. We just pick up the phone and call.”

Jeff had been buying off the rack and wearing the wrong size. He has one arm that’s a little shorter than the other and Connie noticed it right off the bat, according to Laura. Now that he’s in the right size and he’s wearing Connie Menswear custom-made or altered selections, people have commented on the difference, Laura said.

The time between placing the order and delivery of custom-tailored Connie’s Menswear is about the same as purchasing off-the-rack clothing that requires alterations. Some customers are surprised that custom clothing is more affordable than they realized.

“Often I hand-deliver to the customer’s office,” Connie said.

Connie’s Menswear offers tuxes, suits and jackets. She also carries a brand of khakis and jeans – shown above– that have been very popular because of the look and the fit.

Special to American Press

Although Connie fills a niche for busy professionals like Stark, Stutes and Henry, many clients are women who want their men to look their best. Some are men who understand that no matter how they dress day to day, they need at least one sports jacket and dark suit in the closet for that special or unexpected occasion.

“When a jacket or suit is made to fit, it can make a tremendous difference in how it looks,” Connie said. “I’ve fitted all sizes, from the slim build to the not-so-slim build, tall and short. Neck sizes differ. Shoulders can be narrow or broad. We’re all different, but it’s amazing at how polished and pulled together men of all shapes and sizes look in clothes made just for them.”

Connie has outfitted men for Mardi Gras events and weddings in custom and off-the-rack formal, traditional and casual attire.

Connie’s Menswear offers high quality name brands in tuxedos, suits, jackets and casual wear, including a jean and khaki brand that continues to be a popular seller because customers appreciate the look and the feel.

Men with little time or inclination to shop, men who choose to invest in clothing that fits, men who are hard to fit – and the women who love them — trust Connie’s Menswear.
