Two Leesville men still in custody

<p class="indent">Two Leesville men remain in police custody after allegedly kidnapping a woman from the parking lot of a local business, authorities state.</p><p class="indent">According to arrest records, 35 year-old Frank Hickman and 32 year-old Michael Womack were booked into the Leesville city jail on April 28. Both were initially charged with Kidnapping.</p><p class="indent">On Monday, Deputy Chief of Police Beth Westlake said that authorities have additionally charged both men with charges of criminal conspiracy, false imprisonment and simple battery.</p><p class="indent">According to Westlake, at approximately 3 a.m. April 28, Leesville police officers received a report of a possible kidnapping in the parking lot of a Leesville business that remains undisclosed. Upon their arrival, she said, they learned that a female victim had been forced into a vehicle by two males, one of whom being an acquaintance of the victim.</p><p class="indent">Officers were able to locate the victim within one and a half hours at residence within Leesville city limits, and she was transported to the Leesville police department. Both men were then taken into custody.</p><p class="indent">Hickman remains held on a $150,000 bond, while Womack’s total bond has been listed at $85,000.</p><p class="indent">Authorities say that the investigation is ongoing.</p>
