Louisiana man gets 5 years for receiving child pornography
NEW ORLEANS — A 28-year-old Louisiana man has been sentenced to five years in prison for downloading child pornography.
Acting U.S. Attorney Duane Evans in New Orleans said in a news release Thursday that a search of Reher Morris’ smartphone in 2015 turned up more than 12,000 images and 115 videos showing sexual exploitation of children.
The Houma resident pleaded guilty in November to one count of receiving child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo sentenced him Thursday. She also ordered him to register as a sex offender and spend six years under supervised release.
