LCPD responds to two separate bomb threats

News Release

On 12-13-18 the Lake Charles Police Department handled two bomb threat calls at two different locations.

The first call was received at 12:28 pm from 425 Broad St.

Two employees received the threats through e-mail. After speaking with the manager of the business, and based on the content of the e-mail, no search of the building was conducted.

At 1:35pm Lake Charles Police responded to 3650 Senator J. Bennett Johnson Ave. in regards to a bomb threat coming through e-mail.

The content was similar to the first email.

Upon officers arrival officers were told that their fire safety crew had already conducted an external search and they were aware that some other places had received similar emails.

No further assistance was requested from the police department.””Bomb threats
