McNeese Howdy Rowdy Welcome Home Week starts Sunday

Classes begin on Monday, Aug. 19, at McNeese State University and Howdy Rowdy Welcome Back 2024 kicks off the fall semester.
Howdy Rowdy week allows for students to familiarize themselves with the many organizations on campus, and an opportunity to have fun and meet new people. Welcome home, Pokes!
Bowling Half-Nighter
Where: Petro Bowl
When: Sunday, Aug. 18, 9 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Students will welcome the new semester bowling at Petro Bowl.
Golf Cart Rides to Class
Where: From the parking garage and the large parking lot off Sale Road
When: Monday, Aug. 19, 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Get a ride to class! The McNeese Student Government Association and the Police Department will be offering golf cart rides from commuter parking to class on Monday, Aug. 14, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Catch one at the parking garage and the large parking lot on Sale Road.
Resources Round Up
Where: New Ranch
When: Monday, Aug. 19, 9 a.m. to noon.
Students can get help finding classes or tapping into the resources McNeese offers students.
Organization and Greek Day 
Where: The Quad on McNeese campus
When: Tuesday, Aug. 20, 9 a.m. to noon
Students will have the chance to discover all the different organizations McNeese offers. Greek life, major-specific groups and other interest groups will be out in the Quad talking to students about their organizations. There are more than 100 organizations on campus.
Welcome Back Wednesday
Where: Quad/New Ranch
When: Wednesday, Aug. 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Food and music in the New Ranch for students!
Community Day
Where: New Ranch
When: Thursday, Aug. 22, 9 a.m. to noon
Students can find out how to get connected to the community.
Campus Ministry Day
Where: New Ranch
When: Monday, Aug. 26, 9 a.m. to noon
Students can connect with campus ministry organizations.
Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Life Coalition (SLC)
Where: The Quad on McNeese campus
When: Tuesday Aug. 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
When SGA and SLC get together there is always food, music, inflatables and fun! The Quad will be full of students having fun and relaxing between classes.
Wellness Wednesday
Where: New Ranch
When: Wednesday, Aug. 28, 9 a.m. to noon
Students can learn about the Recreation center, Student Health Services, Student Counseling Services and more.
McNeese Pool Party
Where: The McNeese Recreation Center
When: Friday, Aug. 30, 5 to 8 p.m.
Students will enjoy pool time!
