27-year-old LC man dies in motorcycle crash

Special to the American Press

A 27-year-old Lake Charles man died as the result of a Saturday morning motorcycle crash on La. 3059 near Luke Powers Road.

Shortly after 11 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigating the single-vehicle fatality crash, which claimed the life of 27-year-old Brandon Clark.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Clark was riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on La. 3059. For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle traveled off the roadway to the right and overturned, ejecting Clark.

Clark, who was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Standard toxicology samples were collected from Clark and submitted for analysis.

While the cause of this crash remains under investigation,  Louisiana State Police urge all motorists to stay sober, focused and alert on the road.
