JDPSO: Domestic dispute lands husband in jail
<p class="p1">Yesterday evening deputies were dispatched to 12309 Harmon road in regards to a Domestic Battery in progress. Upon arrival deputies observed the victim standing outside the residence next to her vehicle. The victim was visibly pregnant and crying hysterically holding her stomach. Deputies observed several scratches to the side of the victim’s face and she had a lot of debris and grass from an apparent fall on her clothing.</p><p class="p1"> </p><p class="p1">Deputies learned that the couple had been involved in a disturbance the previous night in Lake Charles and the police had to be called to the couples residence. The subject, Dominic Ramon Broussard, 30, of 1302 Wendell Street, Lake Charles went to stay with his mother on Harmon road last night. Deputies were told that Broussard called his wife the next day, wanting her to bring him the couples car to the Harmon road address. The victim stated when she arrived at the residence, she and Dominic became engaged in a verbal dispute. The argument soon turned physical, Broussard grabbed the victim by her head and pulled her out of the house, pushing her down the steps, onto the ground where she eventually landed on her stomach. The victim stated Broussard then proceeded to kick her in her abdomen and her backside. Deputies made contact with Broussard inside the residence where he was placed under arrest. Broussard was transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish jail for booking on charges of Domestic Abuse Battery with child endangerment with no Bond. The victim was transported to Memorial hospital for treatment.</p>
