Egan man accused of contractor fraud

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Egan man for residential contractor fraud.

Deputies received a complaint in October in reference to Chad Kalem Deville, 43, for contractor fraud.

During the investigation, the complaints said they paid Deville Home Improvements $19,500 for the construction of a shop. The shop was never constructed and the owners of Deville Home Improvements failed to perform the work in the allotted time.

Deville was arrested by another parish for contractor fraud and was held until Jeff Davis Parish deputies retrieved him on Tuesday.

Deville is being held in the parish jail without bail.
