Suspect in Sherry Street shooting caught
A person of interest has been captured in an early Tuesday morning shooting on Sherry Street in Sulphur.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said deputies who were dispatched to a residence on Sherry Street at about 4 a.m. Tuesday morning found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and was later transported to a hospital out of town.
“During the course of the initial investigation, detectives developed a person of interest, who they believe may be hiding in the immediate area where the incident occurred,” Vincent said.
He was caught a few hours later.
Vincent said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call CPSO at 491-3605, Vincent said.
