City teams up with Coast Guard for Wind, Waves and Wheels hands-on event

On Saturday, April 13, the city of Lake Charles and US Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Lake Charles are teaming up to present Wind, Waves and Wheels. This Partners in Parks event will take place at Veterans Memorial Park (Lakeshore Drive) from 10 am to 2 pm.

This hands-on learning experience will be fun for the entire family.

Learn more about the US Coast Guard while exploring the many tools this branch of service uses in the service and protection of our nation. The event will feature a MH-65 helicopter demonstration, small boat tour, K9 teams, career Q&A, photo opportunities, interactive displays and food trucks.

US Coast Guard units from throughout the Gulf Coast will join the Lake Charles unit for this event.
