Westlake: Man charged in shooting; another still on the run

A 30-year old Sulphur man has been charged in connection with a Sunday night shooting in Westlake, but another man is still being sought, authorities said.

Christopher Bryan McGowan was arrested Wednesday on charges of accessory to attempted first-degree murder and criminal conspiracy, said Westlake police Chief Chris Wilrye.

Two men — Mark Nelson Robles, 38, and James Lee Enloe, 39 — were shot Sunday at Pinederosa Park after a fight between two motorcycle clubs, police said.

Wilrye said Monday that one group of motorcyclists was having a family day at the park.

Robles, 38, of Lake Charles, suffered injuries to his chest and was flown to Lafayette General Hospital. Enloe, 39, also of Lake Charles, was treated at St. Patrick Hospital and was released.

On Monday, Wilrye said police were searching for Stephen Guynes, 41, of Lake Charles, and that he was “armed and dangerous.” He said Wednesday that Guynes was still being sought.

Anyone with information on Guynes’ whereabouts can call Westlake police at 433-4151 or Crime Stoppers at 439-2222.””Westlake: Man charged in shooting; another still on the run
