Shelton Babineaux
September 22, 1936 – November 30, 2020
EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of Shelton Babineaux announces his passing on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings. He was 84. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin.
Shelton served his country proudly in the United States Airforce as an aircraft mechanic from April of 1955 to February of 1962 when he was honorable discharged. He owned Artic Refrigeration and retired after 24 years. After retirement he taught refrigeration night school at Sowela Technical Community College for four years and aircraft engines for one semester. Flying was his passion and he was a private pilot and worked at every air show in Lake Charles. He was a life member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society founded in 1964, Moose International, South Lake Charles Social Club, Good Sam’s RV Club, AARP, American Legion Post 1 and Disable American Veterans. He was also a member of the Antique Car Club of American. He was a past president of the Heat Pump Association and RSES Chapter and Regional as well as a past governor of the Moose Lodge 1378.
He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two sons, Remy Babineaux and wife, Kathy of Ovid, New York and Michael Babineaux and wife, Carol of Phoenix, Arizona; his sister, Agnes McNabb and husband, Richard of Kinder; a grandson, R.J. Babineaux and wife, Sarah and their kids, Kielee, Bryce and Peyton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Deames Babineaux; his parents, Lawrence and Anastasie Lavergne Babineaux; his two sisters and two brothers.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Donald Lee Conner, 68, of Sweetlake, La died Dec. 4, 2020. Funeral Services at University Baptist Church of Lake Charles will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Grandlake Sweetlake Cemetery.

Wilma Jeane Hogan, 85, of Lake Charles, La died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. Funeral service will be held on Dec. 8, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial to follow at Prien Memorial Park.
Harvey Dale Laughlin
Harvey Dale Laughlin, age 76, of Lake Charles, La passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. Harvey was born Nov. 22, 1944 to his parents Burley Laughlin and Emma Lou Fontenot Laughlin.
Harvey was a life long resident of Lake Charles. He was a Mason and a Shriner. Harvey loved being on the water, especially boating, drag racing, BBQing, and crawfish boils. Anyone that knew Harvey would know that his family came first.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Chad Laughlin and wife Tammy of Sulphur and Kelly Laughlin; grandchildren; Devin Laughlin, Colin Laughlin and wife Christine, and Rylee Laughlin; two great grandchildren; Corinne and Corbin Laughlin; two brothers Rick Laughlin and Roger Laughlin; one sister; Debbie Laughlin; and his ex wife, Shirley Laughlin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Vicki Laughlin.

Stanley Ray LeLeux
Stanley Ray LeLeux, 69, of Moss Bluff was reunited with the love of his life in eternity on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 in his residence.
Mr. LeLeux was born on Dec. 6, 1950 in Welsh, La where he was a graduate of Welsh High School in 1968 and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was the manager and familiar face at numerous restaurants in the lake area, most recently working at Southern Spice in Moss Bluff. He also held a salesman position at Bolton Ford for several years. Mr. LeLeux attended St. Theodore Catholic Church.
He was a one-of-a-kind man who was well liked and respected. Mr. LeLeux made sure that everyone in his presence was happy and had something to laugh about. He will be remembered for his wisdom and his sense of humor. Most important to him was the relationship he had and cherished with his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Kris LeLeux (Julie) of Leesville, Dustin LeLeux (Lee) of Moss Bluff, and Dr. Micah LeLeux (Alicia) of Moss Bluff; siblings, Dennis LeLeux of Welsh, Patricia Armond (Don, Sr.) of Carencro, and Mona Peoples (Joe) of Welsh; grandchildren, Jonathan, Nicole, David (Rebecca), Ellie, Ryleigh, Cash, Caroline, Grayson, Emmy, Evan, Rand, Lauren, Kelly, and Ty; and great grandchildren, Easton, Mason, Drake, and Taytum.
He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Charlee Marie Lacour LeLeux and his parents, Mary and Tanis LeLeux.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 in the Moss Bluff Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will follow in Bon Pasteur Cemetery in Welsh. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday from noon until the start of the service.
