Sulphur man arrested for trespassing
JENNINGS — A Sulphur man was arrested Sunday for criminal trespass and flight from an officer after Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies respond to a call about a suspicious person on U.S. 90 in Lacassine.
Travis Lane Delome, 38, was arrested after hiding in the woods from deputies.
Chief Deputy Chris Ivey said deputies were dispatched to the area of 18509 U.S. 90 in Lacassine Sunday in reference to a suspicious person in the area.
The complaint told deputies he had witnessed a white male near his fence in his backyard. The complaint said when he approached the subject, he moved into the woods behind the house and refused to speak or explain why he was there, Ivey said.
The subject had left a bicycle resting inside the complaint’s fenced in yard.
Deputies checked the area and found a white male matching the subject’s description sitting in the tall grass near U.S. 90. Deputies called out for the man to come out of the woods, but he refused to comply with deputies and ran away, Ivey said.
The subject climbed over a barbed-wire fence and continue to run despite being given repeated commands from deputies to stop. The subject finally complained with commands and stopped running.
Theft investigation continues

Morgan Paul LeJeune, 32, of Jennings was arrested Friday by the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of illegal possession of stolen things.
The charges stem from power tools that had been taken from a Jennings residence and pawned at Chad’s Pawn shop in Jennings, according to Chief Deputy Chris Ivey.
LeJeune was previously arrested Oct. 20 for possession of stolen firearms which had also been pawned, he said.
Detectives are attempting to locate other items which are believed to have seen in LeJeune’s possession and possibly sold to the public.
