Arnold Chancey Addison Jr., 72, of Lake Charles, living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020. He enjoyed woodworking, doing anything on the water, and especially loved sailing.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Addison; three sons, Don Addison of Houston, Texas, Jason Addison (Angela) of New Haven, Mo., Gregory Addison (Nicole) of Washington, Mo.; one daughter, Aimee McKay and significant other, Shawn Wooley of Monroe, Mich.; grandchildren, Parker and Carson Addison, Kaitlin Kopp and fiancé, Adam Jones, Noah Addison, Bode and Behr Addison, Pete Wooley; one great-granddaughter, Addison Janes; along with his former wife, Jane Addison, of Washington, Mo.

A Celebration of Chancey’s life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 2 p.m.

May the seas be calm and your sails be full on your final voyage. RIP.

SULPHUR — Jessica L. Ancelet, 27, passed away on Nov. 24, 2020.

She was a native and life long resident of Sulphur. Jessica graduated from Sulphur High School in 2012. She loved music, especially her favorite show, Glee. Jessica enjoyed reading books. She loved being around her own special families whom she LOVED giving hugs.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Shannah Arceneaux (Fallon Frederick) of Scott, La., and Stephen Ancelet (Amberly) of Westlake, La.; brothers, Brandon Arceneaux and Tanner Ancelet; maternal grandparents, Karen Quebedeaux and Robert McNabb; paternal grandparents, William and Shirley Ancelet; and her boyfriend, Troy Merrow.

Jessica was preceded in death by her brothers, Ethan and Kaleb Ancelet; maternal great-grandparents, Melvin and Ida Arceneaux, Ford and Virgina McNabb; paternal great-grandparents, Emile and Dorothy Wiltz, Theodore and Eleanor Ancelet.

Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Cremation will follow at a later date.

On Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, Maritha Poullard Rosamore departed this life at age of 88 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La. She was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Eunice, La., to the late Arthur and Evelina Poullard. She worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

She leaves to mourn her daughters, Pauline Green, Ethel Johnson and Bonnie Levier all of Lake Charles, La.; her sons, Arthur Rosamore, Sr., Clarence Rosamore Sr., both of Lake Charles, La., and Gerald Morris of Orange, Texas; one brother, Daniel (Mary) Poullard of Lake Charles, La.; one sister, Marjorie Callihan of Port Arthur, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Evelina Poullard; her husband, Leroy J. Rosamore, Sr.; one son, Leroy J. Rosamore, Jr.; one brother, David Poullard; three sisters, Lee Ester Lewis, Mary Ann Ware and Emma Lee Charles and one granddaughter, Alexandra Rosamore.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 9 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.

Michelle Jaree Siverand

Michelle Jaree Siverand (Dangerfield) was born Jan. 7, 1987, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Ruth Siverand. Michelle accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church. She had a fond love of music, art and loved to draw. Michelle attended LaGrange Senior High School and was a graduate of Parkview Christian Academy. Michelle was an employee at ITT Tech until her time of death.

Michell was united in holy matrimony to Perry Dangerfield III and through this union they were blessed with four sons.

Michelle was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Siverand Birotte, her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel (Mary) Siverand and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gus (Martha Varena) Rhines.

On Nov. 19, 2020, Michelle gained her wings. She leaves to cherish her memories, Perry Dangerfield III; her four sons, Joseph Jamar Siverand, Dillian Javon Siverand, Issiak Isaiah Dangerfield, and Perry Dangerfield IV; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Ruth) Siverand; her two sisters, Lasandra Denise West of San Antonio, TX and Stephanie Wonnette (Troy) Ellis of Lake Charles, LA; one nephew, Troy Dominique Ellis of Lake Charles, LA; four nieces, DeAndralyn Deneese West and Kiara JoNiece West both of Houston, TX, Lauren Marquette Ellis and Darlene D’Shon Mitchell both of Lake Charles, LA; five uncles and seven aunts, Franklin (Lee Esther) Siverand, Clifton (Janice) Siverand, Elijah (Ruth) Siverand, Gus Rhines Jr., Caroline Johnson, Georgiana (Rev. Hender) Gillispie, Jeanette Siverand, and Betty Washington; two dear friends, Herb Albert and Angela Lewis; one Godson, Kingston Lewis and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 1 p.m. and funeral service at 2 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.

Rene’ Vera Sr.

JENNINGS — Rene’ was born in San Antonio, Texas, on June 15, 1929, to Manuel Vera and Amparo Riojas. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Nov. 25, 2020. Rene’ served our Country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He was an Artist and loved to do crafts. Rene’ greatest joys came from the time he was able to spend making memories with all of his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rene’ is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Vera of Lake Charles, La.; his sons, Peter Vera (Susan) of Lake Charles, La., Neil Vera (Mary) of Scott, La.; his daughter, Gilda LeBeouf (Clifford) of Lake Charles, La.; his grandchildren, Nicole (Dave), Megan (Raul), Joseph (Ashley), Andrea, Zoe, Zack; his great-grandchild, Blaise; his brother, Manual Vera of Vidor, Texas.

Rene’ was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Amparo Vera; his sons, Rene’ Vera Jr. and Quin Vera; his brother, Romeo Vera.

Funeral Services for Rene’ Vera, Sr., 91 of Lake Charles, LA will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 12:00 PM with Father Trey Ange’ officiating. Burial will follow in Duhon Cemetery.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, La., beginning on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at 10 a.m. with a rosary recited at 11 a.m. and continuing until the time of his service at noon.
