Joan Marie Hinton Boutte’, age 89, of Jasper, Texas left us to be with the Lord Jesus on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at her home in Jasper, Texas.  A family graveside service will be conducted at the Mimosa Pines Garden Cemetery in Sulphur, La. at 10 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2025.

Joan was born in Mannford, Okla. and traveled to several different locations in her younger years but her family settled in Corpus Christi, Texas where she graduated from W.B. Ray High School.  There she met and married Frank B. Boutte’ and had two sons, Frank Douglas (Doug) Boutte’ and Jerry Wayne Boutte’.  The family moved from Corpus Christi to Sulphur, La. when Frank accepted a position with Continental Oil Company.  After Frank’s passing in 2002, she relocated to Jasper, Texas in 2004 to be closer to family and was a member of First Methodist Church of Jasper, Texas.

She and Frank raised their sons in Sulphur and Joan was employed by the Calcasieu Parish School Board for almost 30 years of service.  A loving mother and wife she made an impression on all of those that truly knew her.  She loved working for the school board and several of her associates were educators and administrators who helped educate her sons, although Joan was adamant about teaching them to read before they entered first grade.  She and Frank were always proud of their sons accomplishments and those of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
