Frances Murray

Frances Valerie Murray, 86, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 in a local hospice.
She was a native of Baytown, Texas and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 30 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sulphur. Frances worked as a registered nurse for many years at various hospitals. She had belonged to different AA groups over the years and she enjoyed taking care of plants, camping, and traveling.
Survivors include her sons, Douglas Lee Lincoln and wife, Irene, of Humble, Texas, and Richard D. Lincoln and wife, Lola of Bristol, Tenn.; her fiance’, Wayne Perry of Sulphur; her brother, David Foster and wife, Glenda of Atascocita, Texas; nine grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her previous spouses, Milton O’Quinn and Albert Edwin Murray; her parents, Douglas Foster and Billie Allen Lincoln; a brother, Billy James Lincoln, and a sister, Louise Norris.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. James Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixson funeralhomes.com.
