It is the sixth consecutive season that a Fairview player has won the MVP award. Rylee Cloud won it in 2022 and Rylee Jinks in 2020 and 2021.

After back-to-back close losses in the quarterfinals, Broussard helped lead the Cardinals to a 77-61 over 2024 Select Division V state champion Avoyelles Public Charter. In the finals, Broussard had a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds and was named the game MVP.

For the season, Broussard averaged 21 points, nine rebounds and three steals per game.

Lacassine’s Micah Rasberry is the boys Coach of the Year. After a season-opening loss to Zwolle, the Cardinals won 32 consecutive games. They made their third appearance in the state finals in school history and won the school’s second state championship.
