Betty Lou Burke Williamson

Betty Lou Burke Williamson was born March 17, 1935 to the late King Bobby Burke and Dorothy Omega Smith Burke, in Pensacola, Fla. She married the late Marshal Fulton Williamson on 10 June 1950.

Betty went to Little Cypress High School in Orange, Texas and played varsity basketball winning state championships two years in a row. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend. Betty was a very talented crocheter, generously giving many gifts to all. She was an avid camper, a bird lover, gardener, and a faithful servant of Jehovah god.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory her children, Angelia Louise Williamson Dean and husband, Lee I. Dean, Marsha Faye Williamson Hutson, Betty Joyce Williamson Trahan and husband, Wayne Trahan; son-in-law, Raymond Kelly;  grandchildren, Michelle Lee Hutson Maple and husband, Melvin Maple, Jennifer Elaine Kibodeaux Moore and husband, Chris Moore, Curtis Kibodeaux and wife, Kaitlyn Kibodeaux, Ashley Ann Kelly Vest and husband, Stephen Vest, and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, King Bobby Burke and Dorothy Omega Smith Burke; husband, Marshal Fulton Williamson; daughter, Sandra Denise Williamson Kelly; son, Marshal Fulton Williamson Jr.; brother, Robert Lee Burke, and son-in-law, Edwin Hutson.

Memorial will be held on March 22, 2025 at 1 p.m. in Sulphur Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 857 Sweeney Ln., Sulphur, LA  70663. Reception with food to follow memorial at Niblett’s Bluff Park Pavilion, 3409 Niblett Bluff Rd., Vinton, LA 70668
