Beloved and only son of Curtis and Margie Hayes Fontenot, graduated to his Heavenly home on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 17, 1961, in Lake Charles where he resided until moving to Deridder.  A graduate of LaGrange Senior High School, Keith was an avid lover of and a participant in Louisiana High School Rodeo.  He competed in and excelled in two events, tie-down calf roping and steer wrestling and was State Champion in both events during his years of LHSR and State Champion of steer wrestling in LRA.

A true cowboy doesn’t only wear a hat, he lives it, and Keith lived it!!  He was his daddy’s right-hand man working on the farm-building fences, working cattle, bailing hay, repairing equipment, it was the cowboy way of life for him and his two sidekicks.
