Betty Guidry Kover, age 100, peacefully passed away Jan. 18, 2025 at Sage Oak Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lake Charles, La. She was born in Lake Charles, La. to Edward Louis and Azema Hebert Guidry. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and Lake Charles Secretarial College. She attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., Southwest Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, La. and American University in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of The Americas Court Lady of the Lake #695 in Lake Charles for a number of years. Betty lived in Virginia for decades and was employed with the Federal Government in Washington, D.C. for 25 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Herndon, Va. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph B. Kover, of 46 years.

A celebration memorial will be held at Sage Oak Assisted Living and Memory Care on Monday, Jan. 27. She will be laid to rest by her husband at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, Va. The family would like to thank Sage Oak and Amedisys Hospice Care for their loving care of her.
