Lake Arthur is asking residents to turn off all dripping faucets as temperatures are now above freezing.

Residents are also urged to assess their properties for any leaks and busted water lines.

If any leaks are detected, residents are asked to turn off water at the main value.

If you can’t find the main valve, contact the Lake Arthur Police Department and give your address so that crews can go turn off the water.

This unprecedented weather has put a very big strain on the town’s water system and the pumps have continuously run.

No trash pickup this week

Garbage routes will not run today or tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 24 in Lake Arthur.

The town will resume the regularly scheduled garbage routes next week.
