Stump named to dean’s list
OXFORD, Ohio — Natalie Stump of Lake Charles was named to the dean’s list at Miami University for the 2024 fall semester.
Miami University students who are ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within their division for the fall semester 2024 have been named to the dean’s list recognizing academic performance.
Reed earns college degree
LEVELLAND, Texas — Emily Reed of DeQuincy graduated with their AAS in paralegal studies from South Plains College in Fall 2024.
Reed was among more than 400 students being recognized for their academic achievement and resilience in a changing world.
Buchanan on president’s list
BEXLEY, Ohio — Capital University is pleased to announce Claire Buchanan of Lake Charles was named to the president’s list for the fall 2024 semester.
Capital has three lists denoting academic distinction among full-time, degree-seeking students: the president’s list, provost’s list, and dean’s list. The president’s list indicates the highest level of academic distinction.
To be named to the president’s List, students must have achieved a grade-point average of at least 3.85.
Allen named to dean’s list
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — Albert Allen of Sulphur has been named to the fall 2024 dean’s list at University of Saint Mary for ending the semester with a 3.5 grade-point average or better.
The University of Saint Mary is a Catholic co-educational applied liberal arts university founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.
Student Affairs Office honored
Two McNeese State University Student Affairs professionals and a McNeese student brought home a few awards from the annual conference of the Louisiana Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators.
Bralyn Simmons, director of student activities, received the Rising Professional of the Year Award. The award is presented to a professional with five years or less of experience who demonstrates outstanding achievement in promoting the ideals and principles of LACUSPA.
Nancy-Leigh McIntyre, executive assistant to the senior vice president for student affairs, received the Outstanding Graduate Professional of the Year. She is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree while working full time.
Lianne Montelibano, the McNeese Student Government Association vice president, is the LACUSPA Gold Scholar. This is the highest academic honor awarded by LACUSPA and applicants are judged based on their academic performance, campus leadership and contributions to student affairs practices.

MONROE — Several Southwest Louisiana students at The University of Louisiana Monroe have been named to the president’s list for the fall 2024 semester.
Eligibility for the list requires full-time enrollment and the student must have earned at least a 3.9 grade-point average.
