Nancy Lee Litaker Khoury

Nancy Lee Litaker Khoury born March 7, 1943 passed away on Nov. 20, 2024. She was born in Concord, N.C. She moved to Louisiana to attend graduate school at LSU where she met her husband of 54 years, Edward Khoury. Nancy had a distinguished career at McNeese State University and was fortunate to establish a work family bond like no other. She retired as Library Director in 2009.
Nancy adored her family and friends, with whom she spent most of her time.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Whitney Khoury Matte and husband, Bruce, Jenny Khoury Mills and husband, Gerry; grandchildren, Taylor Guillory Guillen and husband, Roboan, Nicholas Guillory, Lynlee Mills, John Mills, Clay Matte, Tucker Matte and wife, Chloe, and Tate Matte; sister, Isabel Moncure of N.C., and sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Karole and Jack Caskey of Lake Charles.
She was proceeded in death by her devoted husband, Edward Khoury; parents, Richard Vernon Litaker and Lillian Efird Litaker, and nephew, Mark Killian.
A Memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 715 Kirkman Street, on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 at 12 p.m. Visitation will be open to the public at 10 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Mitzi George will serve as the celebrant. Inurnment will take place at the Good Shepard columbarium following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
