Roadwork: Extended closures announced

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, both lanes of Creole Street — between Louie and Penn streets — will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This closure is to allow contractors to install underground water and sewer utilities in the area. Access will be maintained for local traffic.
Weather permitting; this closure is expected to last until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, both the north and southbound lanes of Enterprise Boulevard — between 4th and 6th streets — will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This closure is part of the ongoing Enterprise Boulevard drainage improvement and road overlay project.
Weather permitting; this phase is expected to last until 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.
“Capital Project No. 3277 – Enterprise Blvd. Reconstruction – 12th St. to Broad St.,” is a multi-year project that includes drainage and sidewalk improvements, as well as reconstruction and overlay of the road. For the duration of this project, local traffic will be allowed access, however thru traffic is highly encouraged to use 1st Avenue as a detour.
Work on this project began in August 2023 with the construction of a drainage outfall on 1st Street, between Enterprise Boulevard and 1st Avenue.
