Pamela Gauthreaux Judice, born on Feb. 21, 1950, in Lake Charles, La., passed away on Nov. 14, 2024, at the age of 74. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Pam’s life was filled with love for her family, her faith, and her Cajun heritage.

Pam graduated from LaGrange High School in 1968, where she was a member of the Gator marching band. She went on to attend McNeese State University, staying close to the community that shaped her.

An enthusiastic member of both the Lake Charles and Orange chapters of the Cajun French Music Association, Pam loved listening to Cajun French and Swamp Pop music, celebrating Mardi Gras, and attending local music events. She also had a deep passion for genealogy, dedicating herself to exploring her family’s history.

Faith was central to Pam’s life. A devoted Baptist, she was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and shared her warm spirit through music. She had a genuine love for children, dedicating her time to the nursery at University Baptist Church and caring for children in her own home. For over 20 years, Pam delivered newspapers for the Lake Charles American Press.

Pam found joy in crocheting and cross-stitching, often creating hats to donate to newborns. She was also known for her gentle care of her beloved African violets. Though she enjoyed cooking, she approached it simply, focusing more on the time spent with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Betty Gauthreaux, and her beloved husband of 52 years, Gary Judice. She is survived by her siblings, Maellyn Fortenberry, Dale Gauthreaux, and Rhonda Godbold; her children, Michelle Judice, Kimberly Judice Fontenot (Conrad), and Bryan Judice (Charla); her aunt and uncle; many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Her life was a testament to the values of love, service, and faith, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to The Gardens Assisted Living and Brighton Bridge Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Pam. A special and loving thank you to Shirley, Sophia, Sonya, Catherine and Monica, whose warmth, kindness, and dedication brought comfort and joy to Pam in her final days.
