Jared Brandon Savant was born on May 12, 1974, and passed away on Nov. 1, 2024, at the age of 50.
We, the Savant family offer gratitude to God for his gift of this radiant family. Our son, Jared, was a prince of a man and he found his perfect soulmate in Tanya Hollingsworth. God then allowed this union to be blessed with a precious baby girl, Romyn.
Newly out of college he was favored to have his lovely daughter, Lindsay, added to his life.
We recognized early in his life as a child that he was a miracle and blessing. In Jared’s 50 years on this earth, he touched the hearts and lives of many. He was a man that exemplified integrity and true friendship. He was quiet, but he had a profound effect on everyone that entered his life either as family, friends or acquaintances he met through business, that will never be forgotten.
He was co-owner of Savant Properties, along with several other business entities. While he and his father, Tyrone, worked side by side as business partners, first and foremost they were best friends.
Jared was a faithful and very active member of Indian Village United Pentecostal Church, serving in several capacities. He loved his church.
Those left to treasure his memory include his daughter, Lindsay Savant Andreas and husband, Cody, of Lake Charles; his parents, Tyrone and June Savant; his sister, Ashley Marcantel and brother, Blake Savant, all of Kinder; grandchildren, Hayes and Norah Andreas; nieces, Mallory and Makenzie; many aunts and uncles along with treasured friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Louis and Viola Savant and Marvin and Sally Baggett.
In lieu of flowers for Jared, donations can be made to Indian Village Pentecostal Church Building Fund. He would delight in this kind gesture.
Tanya Lynn Hollingsworth Savant was born on June 8, 1989, and passed away on Nov. 1, 2024, at the age of 35.
Tanya’s WHOLE world was Jared and their daughter, Romyn Brielle. Tanya was the best mom to her baby girl. Romyn was one of Tanya’s biggest answered prayers. She poured her whole self into being the most present mom for her baby girl. Of all the things that Tanya accomplished in her life, being a mom was by far her greatest accomplishment. Tanya taught Romyn how to be a princess and how to help skin a deer. That was a true representation of who Tanya was, glitzy in heels and then she could turn around and put on her camo and hunt with the best of them.
Tanya graduated from South Beauregard High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree in nursing from Lamar. She became an entrepreneur. If you knew her then you know that she could sell anything, from shirts to wedding dresses all the way to her fresh veggies from her large garden every summer. If Tanya put her mind to something, then she made it happen. She loved to cook, craft, and decorate. She loved hunting and had many successful hunts with her dad. She was a member of Indian Village UPC for over 13 years and she served there in many capacities. Tanya would help anyone. If you called Tanya and asked her to make something for you, she would make it happen. Her heart was so big. She had a gift for putting her “God Winks” on Facebook, and she encouraged and ministered to so many people by doing that. Tanya loved her family and was such a devoted wife, mom, daughter and granddaughter. She served her family well.
Tanya is survived by her parents, Bryan and Kim Hollingsworth; grandfather, Duke “Pops” Hollingsworth; aunt and uncle, Tammie Chaumont and Randy Chaumont and wife, Cindy; cousin and best friend, Brittany Courville and husband, Blake, Baylee Grace, and Carter Blake; a host of family and friends.
Tanya is preceded in passing by her husband, Jared Savant; daughter, Romyn Brielle “June Bug”; grandparents, Willard and Betty Williams and Leona Hollingsworth; aunt and uncle, Grant Chaumont and Becky Buller.
Romyn Brielle “June Bug” Savant was born on Dec. 15, 2022, and went to be with Jesus on Nov. 1, 2024, alongside her parents, Jared and Tanya Savant.
Romyn was the joy and light of her entire family’s life.
Those left to cherish her memory are her grandparents, Bryan and Kim Hollingsworth and Tyrone and June Savant; great-grandfather, Duke “Pops” Hollingsworth; sister, Lindsay Savant Andreas and husband, Cody; nephew and niece, Hayes and Norah; aunt and uncle, Ashley Marcantel and Blake Savant, and cousins, Mallory and Makenzie.
