Sowela spring registration opens Oct. 28

Spring 2025 registration opens Monday, Oct. 28, for all interested individuals who want to enroll at Sowela Technical Community College for any of its academic programs at all four community college locations in Southwest Louisiana.
Sowela currently offers online, hybrid and in-person options depending on course availability and requirements. Its Main Campus is in Lake Charles with sites in Jennings, Oakdale and Leesville. Students are encouraged to register early for the best scheduling options, as classes tend to fill quickly. Spring courses begin on Monday, Jan. 13.

Sowela offers more than 30 programs and 60-plus industry-based credentials, including Industrial Instrumentation, Machine Tool Technology, Business Administration, Drafting and Design Technology, Surgical Technology, Nursing, HVAC and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training.
