Hector Jaramillo, 67, of Vinton, passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. Hector was born in Taft, Texas on Sept. 1, 1957. He enjoyed mowing grass and spending time with family and friends. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 17 years, Ida Jaramillo of Vinton; children, Melissa Jaramillo of Refugio, Texas, Micheal (Sandra) Lopez of Refugio, Texas, John Jaramillo (Joe Williamson) of Deridder, Monica (Art) Trevino of Refugio, Texas, Chris (Brandi) LeBouef of Vinton, Allen (Sherri) LeBouef of Vinton, and Dustin (Michelle) Gelner of Atlantic, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Jaramillo of Bayside, Texas and brothers, Tony (Connie) Jaramillo of Portland, Texas, Ernest (Ida) Jaramillo of Mercedes, Texas, Ramiro (Kathy) Jaramillo of Westlake, Daniel (June) Jaramillo of Portland, Texas, and Joe (Janie) Jaramillo of Corpus Christi, Texas. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Lillia Jaramillo, and brother, Juan Manuel Jaramillo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Brother Don Snider will officiate.  Burial will follow at Niblett Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the funeral home and will resume on Monday, at 8 a.m. until the time of service.
