Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and McNeese State announce schools closures at storm approaches

Beauregard and Calcasieu Parish Schools and McNeese State University announced all schools and facilities will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Wednesday, Sept. 11 in anticipation of Tropical Storm Francine.
Officials from both Boards say that weather will be closely monitored and updates provided regarding school status on Thursday, Sept. 12.
In Cameron Parish, School Board Superintendent Charley Lemons said schools in Cameron are set to be closed, Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Thursday, Sept. 12.
