Daniel Louis Guillory

Daniel “Danny” Louis Guillory, 77, of Bell City, La. passed away July 31, 2024. He was born in Bell City on Nov. 4, 1946, to RL and Lela Mae “Toot” Guillory.
Danny graduated from Bell City High School and later married Judy on April 22, 1972, in Pine Island, La.
Danny began working as rice farmer in Sweetlake, La. Later he became the caretaker at the Coastal Club where he guided many duck hunts, fishing trips, and alligator hunts. He retired from the Coastal Club in 2014.
Danny never met a stranger, always having a joke to tell, he wanted to make everyone around him laugh. He loved being in the presence of people. He enjoyed a good Bourree’ game and French music.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith “Judy” Clement; children, Tammy Rider, Tara (Steven) Vance, Danielle Guillory, and David (Kristin) Guillory, all of Sweetlake, La.; siblings, Kemble (Gerry) Guillory of Moss Bluff, La. and Don (Roz) Guillory of Albuquerque N.M.; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, RL and Lela Mae “Toot” Guillory and son-in-law, Dwayne Rider.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Msgr. James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Island Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m., with a rosary being recited at 11 a.m.
