Barbara Dupont Wilkerson, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her beloved Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones.

Barbara was born on March 16, 1961, in Jennings, La. and was a native and life resident of Cameron Parish. She was a graduate of South Cameron High School and spent much of her career in administration and operations, with most of her career spent running Wilkerson Transportation, Inc. with her husband.

Barbara was a vibrant soul who embraced life with joy and laughter. Her faith and salvation were the cornerstones of her strength. She adored her children and cherished her grandchildren even more, blessing us all with her boundless love. Those fortunate enough to know her fell in love with her immediately, as her kindness shone through every interaction. She never met a stranger, treating everyone like family and always ready to lend a helping hand. She found joy in traveling, dining with loved ones, long phone conversations, and savoring her morning coffee for hours. Her spirit and warmth will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in all of us.
